测试 & 密切接触者

Chatham's testing and contact tracing guidelines follow the latest directions from the 中心 for Disease Control (CDC)Allegheny County 健康 Department (ACHD).

What to Do If You Test Positive

If you test positive for COVID-19 you are asked to isolate in your room until your 症状 start to improve and you have been fever-free without the use of fever-reducing medications for at least 24 hours. Once you have been fever-free for 24 hours without fever-reducing medication and your 症状 are generally improving, you can rejoin in-person classes and other campus activities. Please continue to practice social distancing whenever possible, wear a mask when around others, and wash your hands frequently for an additional five days.

This policy is based on the CDC’s latest guidance regarding respiratory illness prevention.

如果你有y other questions or concerns, please contact our office.

Isolating With Roommates

给n the highly transmissible nature of current variants 和 fact that most people who test positive were contagious two days before 症状 appeared, it is likely that roommates have already been exposed to the virus.

We strongly encourage residential students who are rooming together to make a plan in advance for how they will navigate the situation should one of them test positive at some point during the academic year. This may include developing plans for how shared living arrangements in the room, suite or apartment will be modified, or alternatively, how roommates may temporarily relocate to stay with friends or family or in other off-campus residences.

What to Do If Exposed to COVID-19:

  • 保持蒙面.
    • Wear a mask as soon as you find out you were exposed.
    • Wear your mask for 10 days after exposure. Day 1 is considered the day after your initial exposure.
    • Per the latest CDC guidance, you do not have to isolate if exposed to COVID-19.
  • 保持清醒.
    • Watch for 症状.
    • If you develop 症状 of COVID-19, get tested.
    • Follow the What to Do If You Test Positive protocols above if your test is positive for COVID-19.
    • If you do not develop 症状 by Day 6, the CDC encourages you to receive a COVID test, but it is not required.
